Once your site is at version 2.7 of Wordpresss, you can upgrade to the latest version automatically from within the Admin Dashboard area.
This is very easy to do and means that you will never again have to upgrade Wordpress manually unless you really want to.

If you want to upgrade to Wordpress 2.7 or any other version you can use a manual process to do this.
This is probably the safest way to upgrade, but you will need some technical knowledge and be able to use FTP software.

If you were thinking of upgrading to Wordpress 2.7 with the Automatic Upgrade Plugin then think again! Seriously, do not use this plugin until you have read this article.
