Your email accounts are normally linked to your web hosting account, so if you move your domain to another host then that is where you email accounts also need to be – hope that helps!

I have email accounts with GoDaddy, if I point my nameservers somewhere else can I still keep my email settings with GoDaddy?

Good post. I always forget how long godaddy takes. Just googled that question and it took me here. No idea why godaddy takes so long, but I’m to lazy to make a new account with another company just for registering domains.

Matt – Godaddy can sometimes take between 24 and 48 hours – seriously! No idea why they make it so slow when other domain registrars can do it in minutes…

How long is a “long time” for godaddy? I have waited for several hours and no changes (even using their DNS and control panel) are happening. I just want to forward a domain.
